One site (no names), that we recently visited was to arrange cleaning cover whilst the cleaning operative was on holiday. </span><br /><br /><span style="font-family: "Arial", "Helvetica", sans-serif;">The company concerned was very proud of their cleaner of 3 years standing but when they showed us where the cleaning equipment was kept we saw what we had been witnessed on many occasions in other premises.</span><br /><br /><span style="font-family: "Arial", "Helvetica", sans-serif;">The yellow mop in the red bucket, blue mop in a green bucket! Doesn't sound like much of a disaster but it is wrong, wrong and wrong again!</span><br /><br /><span style="font-family: "Arial", "Helvetica", sans-serif;">The British Institute of Cleaning Science has simple guidelines to follow for colour coded cleaning tools - for example red mops/red buckets to be used in WC areas for mopping floors and washing urinals, etc.</span><br /><br /><span style="font-family: "Arial", "Helvetica", sans-serif;">I never know should I tell the company about the danger of cross contamination? </span><br /><br /><span style="font-family: "Arial", "Helvetica", sans-serif;">Will they think me a 'telltale' vying for business or do I have a moral duty to point out the errors of the cleaning operative?
